EC Number 3.1.1.3
Enzyme Function FUNCTION: Lipase which is essential for lysis of subvacuolar cytoplasm to vacuole targeted bodies and intravacuolar autophagic bodies (By similarity). Involved in the lysis of intravacuolar multivesicular body (MVB) vesicles (By similarity). The intravacuolar membrane disintegration by ATG15 is critical to life span extension (By similarity). Autophagy is required for proper vegetative growth, asexual/sexual reproduction, and full virulence (PubMed:28894236). Autophagy is particularly involved in the biosynthesis of deoxynivalenol (DON), an important virulence determinant (PubMed:28894236). {ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:P25641, ECO:0000269|PubMed:28894236}.
