Enzyme Function | FUNCTION: Catalyzes the hydrolysis of ferric enterobactin (Fe-Ent). Hydrolyzes Fe-Ent into three molecules of 2,3-dihydroxybenzoylserine (DHBS) still complexed with ferric iron. Iron reduction is necessary to obtain complete release of the metal from DHBS.
