Effects
(1) We have shown that d-penicillamine, an approved metal chelator, can be attached to the nanoparticles via either disulfide or thioether conjugation. (2) Moreover, d-penicillamine can be released from the nanoparticles under reducing conditions and released d-penicillamine can solubilize copper–Aβ (1–42) aggregates in vitro
